Meet Alan

Alan spent his early years in life in Southern California but after moving to Northern California as a teenager, Sonoma County became his home. He loves the variety of the landscape in Sonoma County and is especially captivated by the Russian River. Alan has been an avid outdoor adventurist his whole life and his passion for photography began with a desire to capture moments in nature he didn’t want to forget.

Out of his enthusiasm for landscape photography grew his idea to make photography more than a hobby. His career in photography started with product photography. He enjoys the challenge of taking an ordinary or seemingly uninteresting product and using lights and technique to capture the detail and make it interesting and artful.

Alan has always been drawn to architecture. He loved geometry class in school and is fascinated by the lines and shapes that can be created. He loves the personality architecture gives to a region. Architectural photography allows for his art form and another’s to collide. It is a collaboration between the architect, builder, or designer to showcase a space that tells a story.

Real estate photography to him is more than just photographing spaces. He aims to create images that evoke a feeling in the viewer, an invitation to imagine the possibilities in the space. Images that draw inspiration and longing.
